Scott pointed out that although it's true that Thomas isn't hooked up to an iron lung or anything, he (Dad) didn't spend 5 hours putting together new furniture for nothing. There's a shelf just for medications and a big closet-sized cabinet that Scott assembled for all of Thomas's new accessories. There are plastic snot containers (seriously), syringes, trach ties, piping for the humidfier, and "for example," says Scott, "his new bionic arm..."

We did make an ER run last night. Nothing special, just an ear infection. "Now we know the tubes are working," said Thomas's 999th ER doctor. Whew!

...and we're in the hospital again - fever, vomiting, dehydration. Things are looking up, though, as the trasfusion is bringing him quickly back to his usual self. Let's all say a breath of thanks for blood donors today.
