Thomas, Transfusion, and Trach

The blood transfusion was without unpleasantness of any kind; Thomas perked up right away, got all rosy-cheeked and wanted to play. That was so sweet to see after two days of wan, sickly stares.

The only rough spot is that he threw up, again, last night, and this time it caused him to aspirate and clogged his trach. Man, I was stressed out, but we confirmed that Children's trained us well before we left last time - I changed the trach a couple times and got him ready and didn't start to really fall apart until Thomas's RT got there to help. Anyway, they're changing his rate of feeding and trying this and that - nothing too exciting compared to last night.

Overall, however, lil T is focused on learning to play the Little Tykes piano with his toes, talented boy. I'll keep you updated.

Glad to hear the transfusion helped at least for a little while. I thought he might play the piano with his hands or new teeth...but toes...taking after his Mom already. ;)

I see he's inherited his mother's feet, then. LOL.

I'm praying for y'all.
