Kodachrome ...Give me the nice bright colors...

I was taking some pictures this weekend, and I got to thinking about how the space between the two extremes in our lives is so hard to explain.

I mean, when people first here "infant with cancer," they seem to get this picture of a tiny, fragile skinny thing. And then they meet our little Thomas-the-Tank, and I think it's easy to forget how fragile he is, chubby tubby legs notwithstanding.

That's one reason why we're so grateful for the friends and family who have been walking through this time with us. They don't need telling; they just know.

But you know what they say about pictures and words . . . so I'll be posting a few here over the next few days. So you can be, you know, in the .... I'm going to beat that to death, aren't I?
