Simple Things

Last week, when she heard Thomas was going home and finished with chemo, Thomas's nurse for the day took him on a little Thomas-parade to wave at all the nurses. (His waving has met with such success that he will now do it in his sleep or in the middle of a conversation which he feels he's being left out. Kind of an early look-at-me-T moment, the kind I feel we will see more of)

Anyway, it was quite the triumphal exit. ...which lasted until Friday, when we were admitted again because of yet another blood infection.

I can't really think about yet another blood infection. Thomas is feeling better than yesterday at least; he was in the sitting-up-and-cuddling phase this morning, which is usually followed by playing-happily in the afternoon and then a fussy-fussy-cuddle at night and a much better day in the morning. We heart antibiotics.

But I couldn't think ahead this morning, either. I just tried to enjoy the cuddling and ignore my obejctions to TV for babies. Which was a good thing because I discovered my new favorite TV show, Charlie and Lola. I don't think Thomas could care less about it, but I love it.

The infection isn't serious, I don't think, just exhausting. We'll be out before too long. At least our friends can entertain us...
