Love Love Love

(note: that's water he's spilled on himself in the pic, not pee. probably)

Thomas had an MRI Monday, and it looked great. Really, really great.

We knew the signs were good- his eyes open evenly, his balance is good, there has been no vomiting or waking up in pain - but the week before an MRI is always a week of holding our breath. "What if?" we ask ourselves. We ask silently, because the question fills the whole house all week, even without the words.

I wish I had time to tell you how the exhaustion from dealing with Scott's hands lifted when we heard the news, or how I stalked every single person I knew in the hospital trying to get them to give us the results the same day.*

But let me leave it, for time's sake, with the fact that the news was excellent, and that nobody could get over how cute and fat and big he is. I love it. I love everybody! Thank you Children's, Good Night!

*They did. It's nice having a reputation for being a leeeetle on the nutty side: "Oh, it's that girl with the red afro. She's got her hospital sweater with her - that means she's going to be here all day. Give her whatever she asks for and tell her I'm out..."

Thank You Jesus!! Thank You Jesus!!
Psalm 100
(1) Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. (2) Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. (3) Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. (4) Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. (5) For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Hebrews 15:5-6 and 13
(5) May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, (6) so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

:o) Carolyn
